Here are four easy steps to preparing this delicious fish:

1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

2. Sprinkle the salmon with salt and pepper. Spread out the salmon on a baking sheet and bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through.

3. To make the sauce, mix together honey, soy sauce, and rice vinegar in a bowl. Pour the sauce over the cooked salmon and serve warm.

It is time to prepare your fresh sockeye salmon for cooking. Clean the fish by removing any scales and skin. Then, cut the fish in half horizontally, so that you have two equal-sized pieces. Make sure that you clean the inside of the cavity, which will hold the seasoning for the fish.

Fold up the edges of the foil so that it forms a pouch and crimp them together to seal. Make four pouches out of the salmon and put them in a large pot or Dutch oven. Add enough water to cover the salmon and bring it to a boil.

Pour off all but 1 cup of the water and add 1 teaspoon salt per quart (1 tablespoon) of water, stirring until dissolved. Add 2 tablespoons of oil to the pot or Dutch oven and heat it until hot. Add the salmon pouches to the pot or Dutch oven and cook them for 10 minutes per inch thickness (2 minutes per inch if using frozen salmon).
